He completed his internship in General Surgery at the Mayo Clinic and formal residency training in General Surgery at the University of Toledo. Subsequently, he returned to the University of Utah and completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and his fellowship in Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Utah.
