Dr Goodwin has always seemed committed to providing the best possible care. I really appreciate how he approaches his patients with calm, care and grace. He's not always gonna tell you what you want to hear, but does a wonderful job explaining what can and cannot be expected. I really appreciated that clarity and often felt that he was advocating for me to take the best course of action, even if I didn't recognize the wisdom in his recommendations. He did what every excellent surgeon should, helped me navigate the complex situation that is trans feminine healthcare. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Goodwin.

Dr. Goodwin is technically proficient at what he does. I don't think I could have had a better surgeon for the specific surgery I got. I am so happy that I had him as my surgeon. Anyone who is seeking Gender Affirming care would be in great hands with him. The results speak volumes for his expertise. I don't like to compare but in comparison to other plastic surgeons I truly believe he is one of the best if not the best for phalloplasty. I have done my research and seen many results. As far as his bedside manner, He has always showed compassion and genuinely seemed to care when I had concerns, questions or if I had any issues with healing. The results show true to his attention to detail and I could not say enough great things about him as a professional and a decent human. Thanks again Dr. Goodwin for everything. Dr Goodwin is awesome. During my pre-op appointment, he explained the procedure and recovery for top surgery. He asked about my preferences for multiple aspects of the procedure along the way. I feel so much more prepared and ready for surgery now.

My encounter with Dr Goodwin was very positive. He seems like a very genuine Surgeon who actually cares about the outcome and his patients well being after surgery. Dr Goodwin is incredibly professional and empathetic in his practice. He went above and beyond in making sure I was prepared with the right care during and after my scheduled procedure. He greatly cares about the long term medical care of his patients.
I felt like provider came in, but didnt really feel why I was seeing him. Instead I left feeling as if there was something wrong with me. I felt he was more robotic going through the motions of what he was suppose to be doing instead of really seeing me as a person.

Dr Goodwin has always been very good in answering questions of me or my friend, even to letting her take pictures. He always has shown me a picture, since we are dealing with the top of my head, along with his explanation.
The resident who came in first was really good. She was careful with unwrapping my son's finger and even suggested that, with how caked on the vaseline gauze was with dried blood, that maybe it should be soaked off. She was personable and made my son comfortable with the exam. The computer wasn't working after Audreyanna left so the resident couldn't bring up the x-rays for us to see. As my son had initially been seen at Primary Children's, she was not able to see the emergency room note. We were scheduled at the main hospital clinic due to the doctor's availability and when he asked my teenage son to follow up. He was the attending on call for pediatric plastic surgery the night we were in the ER. When Dr. Goodwin came in, he was nice and personable, was gentle with my son except for pulling the gauze off without soaking, which my son told me after the visit was quite painful as it pulled on his nail that was removed and reattached in the ER. One thing I was surprised about is that Dr. Goodwin didn't clean off my son's finger before redressing it. We hadn't removed the dressing, as instructed, so there was still a lot of dried blood on his finger. I figured it would have been cleaned before it was redressed.
Dr. Goodwin had to tell me that one of the biopsies came back positive for cancer. He was very compassionate and indicated his discussion of my situation with another provider and that he was referring me to him and why. He also indicated his desire to assist in closing any wound that may occur with any additional surgery. This really meant a lot to me.
Dr. Goodwin is a great teacher! He reviewed all options, complete with illustrations and not afraid to go back over any part. He showed the same respect to Helen as he did to me when we had questions.

Dr. Goodwin was very compassionate and understanding. My health had taken a turn for the worse again and the surgery I went in to have a final discussion with him about would once again have to be postponed. His only concern was my personal health and well being and seeing that more pressing medical issues were addressed first before doing a surgery that was not as pressing as other medical issues that needed to be taken care of first were taken care of. It is the 3rd time this surgery has had to be postponed. He was not upset I'd taken up his time coming in. He is only concerned with my physical and emotional health and making sure my physical health is more stable.

Dr. Goodwin explained why taking some of the neurofibromas on my scalp may cause problems because of being rubbed by BPAP Machine Strap for Headgear. It was all excellent. I am sorry I am through seeing Dr. Goodwin. He has been so pleasant and helpful and I feel very confident in what he did and told me to do!
Dr. Goodwin looked at the images carefully and compared them to the previous CT Scans. I appreciated the time and effort, and detailed look he gave my scans. it confirmed what I already knew, Dr. Goodwin is a competent surgeon. He is very detailed and then discussed with me his recommendations.
