The patient rating score is an average of all responses on our patient experience survey. The rating averages scores for all questions about care from our providers.
The scale on which responses are measured is 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.

For the convenience of our visitors, some patient comments have been translated from their original language into English while preserving their original meaning as accurately as possible. Patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy.
Kate did a very through job of testing both ears (cochlear and conventional hearing aid ear). She was up front with me and explained clearly why I can't hear well with my left hearing aid. She tweaked my cochlear. Too soon to see if it made any difference.

Kate has taught me how to take care of my equipment so I can hear the world every day;
I have two cochlear implants. I am having some issues with the MedEl hearing aids. Kathy works extremely hard to sort out the issues. We are making progress, but I must admit I am disappointed with the hearing aids themselves not with what Kathy has been able to accomplish.
She is the best AUD . Take time to listen and etc.
Professional, competent,knowledgeable and skilled. The only issue is appoints are booked far in advance and audiology adjustments that appear ok in the office may require adjustment when the real world is encountered. Timely follow up appointments are critical for the benefit of patient understanding..

I have been fortunant to work with Kate Johnson since 2019 and I find her to be experienced, knowledgeable, attentive, and strives to identify issues and provide solutions. She is caring and an asset to her department. I hope there will never be a day when I have to work with someone else as she has taken the time to know me in a professional sense and she is has learned what degree of credability to place on issues I describe to her.
Kate is highly skilled in the CI implant process and the devices-I have worked with many audiologists in the past but feel Kate really listens and is very positive

TERRIFIC EXPERIENCE!!
I have worked with MS Johnson for some time and I find her to be extreamly knowledgeable, capable, competent and experienced in her specialty. However, based the length of time required to schedule an appointment, she is obviously overbooked. I feel fortunate to have her as a specialized healthcare provider.
As a cochlear implant wearer, I've read horror stories on a patient site about some audiologists. I started seeing Kate shortly after she came to the U. She has always been honest, knowledgeable and professional. So glad she's my audiologist.
