Dr. Laura Murphy received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Duke University. She completed a Pediatric Psychology internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University.

Dr. Murphy is a member of the Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and is an Associate Professor on the clinical track. Dr. Murphy divides her time working with medically ill children and adolescents and with adults living with inherited arrhythmias and congenital heart disease. She supports patients in addressing medical adherence, pain management, eating and feeding disorders, coping with medical trauma, and treatment of psychological distress including anxiety and depression. She also specializes in refugee health and mental health.

Her research interests are improving health and well-being in chronically ill youth and behavioral health integration in medical subspecialty clinics.
