Really appreciate Dr Silver. We came to him for our halfway ultrasound for our baby, and we were able to ask him questions on if he believes we are still on track for trying for an out-of-hospital birth. He heard our questions, and gave a positive response. We are grateful for his balanced perspective.The ultrasound tech was also amazing! She walked us through the anatomy scan and talked us through what she was looking at with our baby. It really made it personal. I loved it!

Dr. Silver is a gentle soul. He's smart and knows his stuff-but he can tell when it's time to be gentle and do things the patient needs for their own needs.

I love Dr. Silver so much. He is the (almost) perfect balance of natural and medicine and he answers the questions and doesn't leave until I'm done asking questions. Love it, he's awesome.

Dr. Silver didn't feel rushed during my appointment. I had a lot of questions and he answered them all. He also followed up on a question he didn't know the very next day. He also gave me an insight on delivery that I didn't know before and was so respectful about what I desire. He wants me to lead out on what I want during my delivery. Such a refreshing experience!

After several ER visits and dealing with other MFM specialists and OBGYNs, I am so pleased to have found Dr. Silver! His expertise and bedside manner was unmatched as he shared updates on my and my baby's health. He took such care and time to clarify, explain and put things into context to ease my mind that progress was happening and there was reason for continued optimism. I appreciate the ways he supported both my physical and mental health, solidifying my decision that I had found the right practitioner for me. After so many medical complications that were exacerbated by poor care and misdiagnosis, I am grateful that such a doctor exists.

(During my virtual visit) I felt Dr. silver seemed a little distant. maybe because it was a virtual visit. he answered my questions but didn't "offer" any additional medical advice. he just answered my questions. that was good but as a first time mom who's whole birth plan was around an out of hospital birth experience, didn't even know what to ask. I was hoping Dr. Silver would kinda walk me through the whole process.

Dr Silver and his Nurse Practioner were great in explaining options of care. My questions are always answered and they made me feel at ease about my care.

Dr. Silver was wonderful! He used evidence backed studies to back everything he mentioned to me and help me to realize that Google doesn't know everything. Very kind and patient. But pushed for what he thought was best, after he saw that I wouldn't change my mind about how I wanted to handle things, he eventually relented and we ended on a better note.

He is an amazing doctor and human. He has always given me accurate advice but also has recognized some of the difficulties Ive gone through and made room for allowing me to make decisions based on my experiences. I suffer from debilitating hyperemisis and have always been under treated. Dr. Silver never questioned what I needed and made access to things I needed to stay healthy easy with no questions. I will never be able to thank him enough. My pregnancy has still been almost unbearable but to not have had to fight for care for myself and my unborn child the entire way has made such a huge difference that I will forever be grateful for.

Seems to be in a rush, especially because I'm a boring pregnancy, but very caring and takes time to listen to me and work with my desires for birth. He's quirky, but blows me away with his composure, flexibility, and demeanor. I've never met a birth professional like him, and believe me, I've talked with a lot of birth professionals. I'm hoping my delivery is as boring and textbook perfect as my pregnancy this time! I trust that UofU will make it happen

Doctor Robert Silver Is the most professional, experienced, and caring provider I had in my life. I'm grateful for the time he took to make me comfortable telling him all the information he needed. He answered my question without rushing and treated me like an individual with needs. I'm transferring care from another hospital which was the opposite. I recommend 100% if you have a high-risk pregnancy to transfer your care to Doctor Silver, which will change your life and give you peace.

He is funny!

Dr. Silver took the time to review my chart and address all of my questions, concerns, and nuanced situation. He was clear and direct but very caring. He clearly outlined what areas of concern he would have about my health during pregnancy, and he provided very relevant information. He reassured me, and I knew that I would receive the absolute best quality of care with his team.

Dr. Silver listens to and answers to all questions and concerns I have. I feel that he cares a great deal.

Dr. Silver is fantastic. I had some concerns at my most recent visit, and Dr. Silver took the time to address my worries and did some tests that help put my mind at ease. He was very patient with me even though he had a very busy day in clinic.

Dr. Silver is the most competent, humble, and compassionate person I've ever met. I cannot imagine a more perfect doctor. There isn't a single thing I could improve from our experience with him. We are seeing him for my current and all future pregnancies. They should study him in med school, and doctors who get bad marks on bedside manner should train with him to learn how it's done. He is making "impossible" things possible for us. We will be forever grateful for him and his team!! Btw, I've never had a doctor come into a first appointment without needing to look over his notes and figure out what's going on. Even at our first appt. ever, he didn't even glance down at his notes - no clicking around on the computer, no asking for info I've already given 5 times. He drew a diagram of my prior surgery from memory. He told me things about my case that my prior doctors hadn't even told me. Spent 40 minutes just calmly answering questions and teaching. Silver is from a different planet IMO

He is one of the best best doctors Ive had and Ive dealt with many over the years at cedar Sinai, Mayo, UCSF, Stanford and several other high profile institutions. His research makes him an expert in his domain and he has great manners and always makes me feel heard and well taken care of. A huge asset for university of Utah in my opinion.
