Virtual Perinatal Mindfulness Drop-In Class
Date: Mondays 12–12:30 pm
A zoom link will be emailed to registered participants 15-minutes prior to each session.
Whether you are trying to conceive, adopting, pregnant, postpartum, or navigating pregnancy loss, this 30-minute virtual gathering offers a space to pause, reconnect, and breathe. Each session includes a brief guided mindfulness practice and gentle support within a community of others on the reproductive journey.
Facilitated by Hannah Sammons, DNP–CNM, WHNP a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner trained in Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP). This offering is rooted in both clinical expertise and mind–body awareness.
This offering is not intended to diagnose or treat any underlying health conditions but can serve as a helpful adjunct to medical or therapeutic care. No prior mindfulness experience is needed—simply come as you are.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol) & Pregnancy
Tylenol (acetaminophen) is commonly used in pregnancy to treat pain and fever. Tylenol is considered the safest option for these symptoms when taken as directed.
While Tylenol is safe for most pregnant people, we generally don't recommend taking other types of pain relievers during your pregnancy:
- Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and similar NSAIDs are generally not recommended in pregnancy, especially in the third trimester.
- Opioid medicines (like oxycodone or hydrocodone, found in Percocet or Vicodin) are not routinely recommended.
Remember: Always check the safe medications list or talk with your health care provider before starting or continuing any medicine during pregnancy. They are here to safely guide you and your baby.
Why Treating Pain & Fever Matters
- Untreated fever has been linked to serious birth defects.
- Managing pain helps your care team evaluate you fully and rule out serious complications (like preeclampsia) that could affect you and your baby.
Autism & Tylenol
Most experts agree there is no clear evidence that Tylenol causes autism. Large, high-quality studies have not found an increased risk of autism or other developmental problems linked to Tylenol use in pregnancy, especially when researchers considered the mother’s medical conditions and genetics.
Read the statements from our national women's health experts for more information on tylenol and pregnant people.
