Pharmacies & Prescription Refills

Pharmacies at University of Utah Health are located in specialty centers and neighborhood health centers across the Wasatch Front, providing services for prescriptions, prescription refills, and a wide variety of over-the-counter medications. Our physicians can send your prescriptions directly to our pharmacists, saving time and the need to make another trip.

Mail Order Pharmacy

Now available! University of Utah Health is now offering prescriptions by mail order.

To Get Started

  1. Call 844-635-5641 or 801-213-8650.
  2. Verify your mailing address and credit card information.
  3. Request a refill with an online form.
  4. Select the appropriate Pharmacy

How Long Will It Take to Get Your Prescription?

We process and mail prescription refills within one business day of your request. If your prescription is out of refills, we will contact your doctor for a refill authorization and mail it as soon as possible.

Auto-Refills

Unfortunately, many insurance plans don’t allow pharmacies to mail automatic refills. For this reason, we can’t mail a prescription unless you ask us to mail it to you. Call or visit us online to request your refill.

New Prescriptions

We do not automatically send new prescriptions that your doctor gives you. You must call and request that it be mailed to you.

Controlled Substances

We can mail controlled substances, but only in Utah. Controlled substances require a signature when they are delivered, so you will need to be home and sign for the packages.

We cannot mail Schedule II controlled substances (oxycodone, hydrocodone, and methylphenidate).

Outside Utah?

No problem! We are currently licensed to mail prescriptions to:

  • Colorado,
  • Idaho,
  • Nevada, and
  • Wyoming.

We cannot mail controlled substances outside of Utah.
