I would not recommend Claudia as a midwife. I went into the appointment very hopeful but was extremely disappointed. I had a non life threatening issue where I tried to ask questions before allowing treatment to which Claudia was unwilling to answer questions with grace and explain the actual issues/ treatment process. In the end I felt pressured into something that I did not feel comfortable with and left helpless. I believe a hospital is where you go to seek medical advice and make treatment decisions not be looked down upon and pressured into things. I left feeling helpless and overwhelmed.

I've been so impressed with Claudia. She takes time to understand my symptoms and then, amazingly, actually helps with whatever is ailing me. She is genuine and knowledgeable -- just what I want in my physician.

She's the best GYN I've had!!!!

Claudia is wonderful and caring.

Need to stop judging people for ANY reason. She made me and my husband very uncomfortable due to our age. I could not believe how she treated me and how she did not try to hide the fact she was judging us both. She talked down to me like I was a child. I felt very disrespected and uncomfortable. I would not recommend anyone to see her unless you have a VERY thick skin, and are ok with being disrespected, belittled and dismissed. Very unprofessional.

I'm so grateful for the care I've received from Claudia over the years. She's been there through pregnancy loss and three healthy pregnancies. She is warm, funny, generous with her time, knowledgeable, and connects with her patients on a deep level. I always schedule with her when possible because I know I'll be treated like a human being. She's the best!

All of the staff and practitioners at the Madsen Birthcare Clinic are fabulous. They are kind and compassionate in the care they provide for their patients and have gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. In particular, our primary midwife, Claudia Gerard, provided outstanding care during my pregnancy and will be my go-to person for as long as she is in practice. Her genuine care for her patients is apparent and she always has several suggestions and recommendations for approaching an issue so that her patients feel empowered to make the decisions that suit them best. She answers all of my questions and is empathetic to all my concerns. I can't express enough the great appreciation I have for her has a provider and I specifically go to the U to see her.

Luckily my experience with Claudia and Elaine was great. I have been cared for by Claudia when my baby was born and I really like her. She is warm, kind, and confident. When I need more care from a midwife I hope to see her. She and Elaine were very nice and quick with my IUD removal. They both made me feel comfortable, validated, and supported. I would rate my time with higher than a 5 if I could!

she did tell me she would refer me to a specialist and I havent gotten a referral or heard back yet, so maybe follow-up could be improved.

I had a terrible postpartum complication and had it not been for Claudia advocating for me and my health, my outcome would have been much worse. I would recommend her to everyone!!!!
