Jenna Steffen, MD

Dr. Steffen has consistently provided me with excellent healthcare. She has been my provider through both of my pregnancies and postpartum recovery periods. Regardless of how anxiety-induced my questions and concerns may be, she actively listens and adequately addresses them - often citing current research to support her recommendations and guidance. My visits with her feel more conversationsal than clinical, which makes me feel respected and listened to, allowing me to fully trust her regarding the care I receive.

Jenna is amazing. She is very sweet and makes sure you are in charge of your care.

She was absolutely helpful in my struggles. Only horrible thing was not being able to see her again until MARCH for a follow up appt! It takes several months for me and all women struggling with their feminine health to get an appt this needs to change!

i could not have imagined a better experience for a prenatal visit. First, I was amazed at how much time Jenna spent with me, answering every possible question for a first-time mom and explaining everything in great detail. Her bedside manner immediately put me at ease, and she genuinely seems to love what she does. She made me feel like my health and my baby's health were her top priority in that moment. She is extremely kind, and her competence and confidence gave me absolute confidence in her.

She took the time to counsel me and answer my many questions about the upcoming possibility of pregnancy. I had some concerns regarding some imaging findings and Jenna helped me to understand more about them, so I'm not concerned about them so much anymore, as I know more now. She is very thorough and professional while treating my individual needs as important. She really cares and she is helping me to get further care for some issues I've had for a while. I feel that I can trust her medical opinion. She is very thorough and detail oriented. Very friendly, too.

I've been seeing Jenna for a few years now. Every time I go in she is kind, and educates me on standards for care to provide me with options. Nobody likes going to the OBGYN, atleast I don't - but knowing I'll receive her care makes unpleasant experiences a little less difficult.

Dr. Steffen is absolutely amazing! I'm so glad she will be guiding me in my care. She's very smart, knows what she's talking about, and explains things so you understand them. She gives you options, lets you pick, and then supports you in what you choose to do. She's very caring, compassionate, and empathetic. She's giving me the answers to problems I've had for years.

Dr. Steffen took someone who never wanted to see another gynecologist & made me feel so comfortable, informed & cared about. I left feeling confident in her as my doctor & the things we discussed. All staff I came in contact with were amazing.

Dr. Steffen was very easy to talk to, quick and efficient and checked in with me before the pelvic exam about my comfort level during the exam. Anyone that has dealt with a traumatic experience during a pelvic exam where the dr. Doesn't communicate what's happening or doesn't make the situation feel transparent or the patient comfortable to use their voice knows how important this is. Especially if they have dealt with SA. I had no major concerns or questions but she gave me an opportunity to ask about anything. Definitely professional, efficient and kind.

The doctor was really great - My last two IUD experiences were really unpleasant and I told her I was a little nervous because of this. She made sure I felt really comfortable and explained every single step and her reasoning for doing things the way she did them. She went over risks really thoroughly without making the new IUD seem scary. I really appreciated that she assured me that if I needed to come in at a later time because of any issues, she would be available (really assuring after how crazy getting the appointment was)

I felt like Dr. Steffan was Orestes that I was inquiring about birth options and when I asked for clarification on the estimated timeline of my twins arrival since our fertility clinic had a different view instead Ed answering she said she'd refer me to a high risk doctor and I'd want to talk to them. I saw the practitioner in the summer about an oopherectomy to assist with prophylactic treatment for my breast cancer. Provider suggested coordinating with my neuro about effects to my migraines and then wanted to do a pap, did not want to accept that I did not want that done that day, was leaving on vacation. Provider made comments that given my breast cancer it was important to keep up with screenings. I agreed that I needed the pap but did not want it that day. The appointment this survey covers was for the pap that I scheduled as a follow up. Provider still made comments about me not getting the pap at my previous appointment. It felt as though I was inconveniencing the provider and there was lack of consideration for the trauma that routine screenings come with after my breast cancer diagnosis. Having a pap the day I leave on vacation and spending my vacation hoping the results were clear was not something I was prepared for. The comment that my paps have always been normal doesn't help, my mammograms had always been normal too. If a patient is reticent to have a procedure day of but is willing to schedule and return there may be something there that deserves flexibility and empathy.

We are an IVF pregnancy and Dr. Steffan tried to tell us a different due date from the clinic. I realized she didn't have the information that we transferred a day 6 embryo though. She's very kind.

Ive been trying to find the cause of my problems for years and no doctor has cared enough to look into WHY I was having the issues I was having, but she truly wanted to find help and treatments for me.

Dr. Steffens is very nice, but I don't feel like I get any info at the appointments to help me during my pregnancy. I'd love more details on what to expect at the next appointment, what tests mean, and how to prepare for them. This is my first pregnancy so I'm trying to bring lots of questions, but there are some things I just don't know to ask. I was very disappointed in not being prepared for my 1-hour diabetes test and the lack of insights into how the 3-hour test works (the nurses response to my extreme anxiety to "bring a book" was not the answer I was looking for). Just overall I feel like I'm going into pregnancy "blind." Again, she is very nice and this could all be due to the hospital being short staffed.

Dr. Steffen always is very thorough and easy to communicate with. She provides good knowledge and up to date information on appropriate studies/recommendations. I feel very confident in her care and know that me and my baby are being well taken care of. She has a patient centered approach that makes you feel empowered in your care.

It's a virtual check-up so the discussion was limited to question & answer. Physician gave recommended diagnostic testing that cam be done.
