Julie King provides convenient and personalized prenatal care to low- and/or medium-risk pregnancies as a nurse-midwife. She cares for her patients during and after pregnancy, family planning, annual exams, irregular bleeding, painful periods, menopause, infections, and premarital visits.
She offers pap smears, as well as IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals. Once a month, Julie travels to Elko Specialty Clinic in Nevada with the outreach team to provide prenatal and immediate postpartum care for patients planning to deliver at the University of Utah.

Her educational background started at the University of Utah, where she earned her bachelor’s degree of science in nursing. Following that, Julie attended Georgetown University for her master of science in nursing.
Julie is a clinical instructor for the Certified Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner programs at the University of Utah. She also precepts medical students and family practice residents for the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah.
Working alongside the maternal-fetal medicine team, Julie is involved in the COMFORT Trial, a research study focused on outpatient cervical ripening.
