I appreciate Dr. Mauer and Dr. Werner very much. They both have taken care of me through a long cancer journey. They are kind and thoughtful in how they work to make sure that all my questions are answered, and take the time to make sure we understand the process, next steps and options. They are both experts in their fields, which of course makes the medical care top notch, but the personal attention they give makes me feel heard and cared for as an individual patient and is something that is truly special and important to individuals and their families when dealing with health issues like cancer. This is seen throughout the teams that work with them as well. Dr. Mauer and Dr. Werner are truly remarkable doctors and people.

Dr. Mauer was so kind and caring about my condition. She had tremendous knowledge about my illness. When she explained the medical procedures to me, she did it on my level and did not act like I was a number. I was personal to her.
