She completed her Psychiatry residency at the University of California at Irvine and then went on to pursue a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California at San Diego where she served as chief resident. Dr. Iyer is board certified in Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

    Her interests include trauma and stressor-related disorders, social media effects on mood, and medical education. She is committed to advancing the field by educating medical students, residents and fellows. Dr. Iyer is delighted to be a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and a clinical provider at the University of Utah Huntsman Mental Health Institute.
