Announcer: The Health Minute, produced by University of Utah Health.

Interviewer: Did you know that money can actually impact a woman's health? It's true. Dr. Kirtly Parker Jones, tell us more.

Dr. Jones: Well, money's the number one cause of relationship stress. There's lots of evidence that women are better at money than men. So to improve their financial health, women can start with making a budget. Know where your money is going. And finally, save. Save for emergencies, planned expenses, and for retirement.

We all know that when money's tight, bills aren't paid, and the future's uncertain, and you don't feel good. Women have told us that their health is much more than just their blood pressure. It's about their emotional, social, intellectual, environmental, spiritual, and financial health. And money is the number one cause of relationship stress.
