  • Rebecca C. Abbey, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician who cares for pregnant, adult and pediatric patients in her family medicine practice. She received her bachelor’s degree from Pomona College and her medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. She completed a family medicine residency at the University of Utah and graduated in 2017. She has stayed in Utah to continue her practice and is now a faculty member with the University of Utah Family Medicine Residency. She did extensive obstetric and women's health training in residency, as these are particular areas of interest for her. Her clinical practice includes all areas of family medicine with a special interest in pregnancy management, women's health and transgender care. In her leisure time, Dr. Abbey enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, reading and spending time with her family which includes a 3 year old and 8 month old!

    She listened to my symptoms, based on those ask me additional questions then made a diagnosis and prescribed me a medication. noticed improvements almost immediately.

    I consider Dr. Abbey a friend of mine. I trust her with all my medical needs. She always includes me any decisions that are necessary for my treatment. She is extremely patient, supportive and knowledgeable. She is always very pleasant and she listens to me. I¿m fortunate to have her as my medical provider.
