Using a multidisciplinary approach to care, our specialists are focused on treating the most complex medical and surgical conditions including, Parkinson’s disease, degenerative spine disease, epilepsy, stroke, and cancer.
As an integrated part of the Clinical Neurosciences Center, the neurosurgery team works closely with neurologists, radiologists, and other health care providers to develop the most complete and individualized treatment plans for our patients.
In addition to traditional neurosurgery techniques, we offer additional options such as minimally invasive surgery that allow certain spine or cranial procedures to be done with little or no trauma, and with a much faster recovery.
For the convenience of our patients, we have expanded our comprehensive spine care services locations to South Jordan and Park City.

What Is a Neurosurgeon?
A neurosurgeon is a specialist who diagnoses and treats brain, spine, and other nervous system conditions with surgery, including minimally invasive options. Neurosurgeons are also trained in non-surgical procedures. A neurologist will refer a patient to a neurosurgeon for consultation if surgery is the best plan for treatment. Your work with a neurosurgeon will center on diagnosis, surgical treatment, follow-up care, and rehabilitation.
